Vietnam’s CMC is set to partner with South Korea’s Lotte to develop data centers.
CMC and Lotte Innovate this week officially entered into a strategic partnership, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) around infrastructure, software development, and other areas of mutual interest.
Areas of cooperation under the MoU include data centers, EV charging, security, offshoring, and cloud.
In the data center segment, the companies said they aim to develop data center projects, combining CMC’s infrastructure and operations strengths in Vietnam with Lotte Innovate’s experience and customer ecosystem.
Details of any planned data centers haven’t been shared.
Minh Tran Van, CEO of CMC Korea, said: “Our partnership with Lotte Innovate goes beyond a step in CMC’s global expansion strategy. It reflects the growing role of CMC Korea in connecting Vietnam’s technology capabilities with Korea’s leading corporations. We expect the two sides to not only deliver high-quality software development services together, but also co-create scalable digital solutions across Vietnam, Korea, and regional markets, as demand for digital transformation and AI adoption continues to accelerate across the region.”
