The agreement will see Vantage work with the clubs and the league to help bolster connectivity infrastructure for the stadiums.

Vantage Towers operates approximately 88,000 sites in ten countries in Europe, including sites across Portugal.

Liga Portugal noted that Vantage Towers will help to provide "expertise in shared connectivity infrastructure for stadiums, training centers, and academies."

Vantage's infrastructure supports technology such as 5G, streaming platforms, ticketing, and fan applications.

Further details around the partnership are scarce.

"Connectivity infrastructure plays an increasingly important role in the operation and evolution of sports venues. With this partnership, we want to put Vantage Towers' experience at the service of sports clubs, creating the conditions for mobile operators and other service providers to offer high-quality connectivity and digital services to end users," said Paolo Favaro, managing director, Vantage Towers Portugal.
