US power systems firm Concentric has acquired Critical Components, a provider of power and cooling infrastructure.

Concentric, itself acquired by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in 2023, provides critical power systems for data centers, telecoms, utilities, and other commercial facilities.

Based primarily in America’s Southeast, Critical Components is known for providing UPS and backup power solutions to data centers.

Details about the acquisition are sparse.

Firms specializing in electrical equipment have benefited greatly from the demand for data centers, with many such firms signing partnerships or agreements with other companies or data center operators.

Last November, Schneider Electric and Switch Data Centers agreed to an expanded $1.9 billion contract that would see the former supply prefabricated power modules to the latter.
