As reported by the Monroe County Reporter, the Monroe County board of commissioners voted 4-0 to rezone the northern 525 acres from agriculture to commercial at a meeting last week as part of the larger Rumble Technology Campus proposal.

News of the campus surfaced in September. Data Core Innovations wants to develop a 900-acre+ project off of Rumble Road at I-75.

The campus will host up to 12 buildings totaling 4.2 million sq ft (390,190 sqm).

Construction work on the project could start in late 2025 or early 2026, with the first building launched in 2028. The site is set to be built out in phases through to 2038 or 2039.

The greenfield site is located between Forsyth and Macon, around 70 miles south of Atlanta. No end customer for the site has been named.
