Data center, Internet exchange and managed service provider Telehouse America announced new Ethernet IP connectivity between its data centers in U.S. and Europe on Thursday. The company also launched its "ubiquitous" IP transit services, enabling it to provide direct Internet connectivity to colocation customers in its New York City and Los Angeles data centers.

The new Global Interlink Ethernet connectivity connects Telehouse's New York and Los Angeles with its facilities in London, Paris and a French commune of Magny-les-Hameaux. The network is also accessible from Equinix data centers in Chicago, Ill., and Ashburn, Va., as well as Switch and Data facilities in Palo Alto, Calif., and Dallas, Tex.

The new IP Transit services - offered in 1-10 Gbps commitments - are not exclusive to customers in Telehouse facilities. The service is accessible "from nearly any major colocation or data center facility across America," the company said in a statement. Both new services are available immediately.
