MPower, a unit of Manila Electric Company (Meralco) has signed an energy supply agreement with ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) Philippines to supply the data center operator with power for its Philippine operations.

The deal covers three facilities - STT Fairview and STT Cavite 1 and 2 - spanning six separate deals, with a planned supply volume of up to 40MW of renewable energy. According to the companies, the partnership is expected to enhance the operational reliability and efficiency of the company’s data centers.

STT GDC Philippines is a joint venture between Globe Telecom, Ayala Corporation, and ST Telemedia Global Data Centres. Formed in 2022, it currently operates five data centers with more than 22MW of capacity across the Philippines market. It is currently developing a large-scale data center campus in Manila, dubbed Fairview, with a projected capacity of 124MW. In December 2024, the company topped out the first building at the site, which has a capacity of 12MW.

M Power is Meralco’s local retail electrical supply unit, which caters predominantly to large load users in Manila.
