Signing Day Sports, a company that helps high school athletes with college recruitment, has announced its acquisition of One Blockchain LLC, the operating affiliate of BlockchAIn Digital Infrastructure, a company focused on cryptocurrency mining and AI infrastructure.

The multifaceted deal will see Signing Day Sports and One Blockchain LLC both become subsidiaries of BlockchAIn Digital Infrastructure Inc. (PubCo). No cash will be paid by Signing Day Sports; rather, the company’s stock (valued at $250 million) will earn its shareholders 8.5 percent of the new PubCo.

BlockchAIn DI currently operates a 40MW crypto mining facility in South Carolina, which has the potential to expand to 50MW.

The company is also in the process of commissioning a new 150MW mining facility in Texas, expected to go online in 2026. The first 100MW is expected to be dedicated to cryptomining, while the remaining 50MW used for AI and HPC.

Signing Day Sports said it sees the merger as a way to diversify and enter one of the fastest-growing markets in the tech space.

Danny Nelson, CEO of Signing Day Sports, said the news marks "an exciting new chapter" for his firm. He said: "We are confident has the potential to bring substantial value to the stakeholders of both parties. BlockchAIn DI’s scalable, cash-flowing Bitcoin mining and AI data center platform positions the combined company to capitalize on the fast-growing HPC hosting market.”

Meanwhile, Jerry Tang, CEO of One Blockchain, said the business deal would help the company accelerate its growth in the Texas and South Carolina areas.

“In the near term, BlockchAIn Digital Infrastructure will look to bring Bitcoin mining in-house, expand our South Carolina facility to 50MW, and build out our proposed 150MW facility in Texas to support the large demand for hosting services driven by various AI and mining applications,” said Tang.
