Server Technology exhibited several new power management solutions at Cisco Live! In London this week.
Including solutions for the Unified Computing System and the Cisco Nexus 7000 switch range.

Brandon Ewing, president of Server Technology, said: "The new products we're showing are uniquely designed for data center environments with high-density blade servers, including a new CDU specifically for Cisco's Nexus 7000 chassis."

"Our products are designed to reduce the number of power drops, CDUs and power cords necessary - all leading to improved cooling in the cabinet with less equipment interfering with air flow, better efficiency and lower capital costs for the data center,"said Ewing.

 

"Data centers today want to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) and increase their business agility. We have the power management solutions to power Cisco's next-generation UCS data center platform,"said Ewing.

Server Technology's CDUs include remote viewing of power utilization and environmental conditions, email alert notification if cabinet conditions exceed pre-set thresholds, local LED's per branch circuit or phase providing easy-to-read displays to determine if the load is balanced and visual indication that power is supplied to the CDU, environmental measurements for temperature and humidity and local and remote notification if a branch circuit is lost.
