Saudi Arabian AI venture Humain has entered into a strategic partnership with US-focused data center company Global AI.

State-backed Humain plans to deploy in a Global AI data center, but the location and timeline were not disclosed. Global AI currently operates a 32MW facility in Endicott, New York.

The liquid-cooled site could support up to 100MW, Global AI said. The scale of the partnership, and whether further projects are planned, was not disclosed.

“I believe Saudi Arabia is firmly on track to become the third pillar of global AI infrastructure," Tareq Amin, CEO of Humain, said.

"Our commitment towards developing compute capacity in the US secures Humain and Global AI a strategic foothold. This integrated presence gives us the strength and scale to fuel the future of global AI innovation.”

Humain intends to deliver 6.4GW of data center capacity over the next decade by developing its own facilities and using leasing capacity from other operators.

Global AI claims that its Endicott location, set across two buildings including 1701 North Street, is the largest cluster of Nvidia GB300s in New York.

The buildings were originally built by IBM, like much of Endicott's industrial district. The village, in Broome County, is known as the birthplace of IBM.

Both of Global AI's founders are also linked to IBM. Cofounder John E. Kelly III was the creator of IBM's Watson, and spent nearly 40 years at the company. CEO Sami Issa founded a joint venture between Mubadala Development Company and IBM.

Issa also founded W3bcloud, a cloud joint venture from AMD and Consensys, that aimed to build blockchain-based data centers for Web3.
