Saudi Arabia's Humain and DataVolt will collaborate to develop data centers.

Details of the collaboration are hazy, but DataVolt has stated that the pair intends to develop a “multi-gigawatt data center pipeline.”

Saudi Arabia aspires to become a globally prominent data center player, leveraging its immense wealth and energy to build facilities optimized for cheaper AI workloads. Integral to the Kingdom’s ambitions is Humain, an AI venture established in May of this year as a subsidiary of the country’s Public Investment Fund.

Humain intends to deliver 6.4GW of data center capacity over the next decade by developing its own facilities and using leasing capacity from other operators. These data centers will host thousands of Nvidia and AMD GPUs, as well as hardware from Groq and Qualcomm.

The company's own facilities are set to go live in the second quarter of 2026.

Saudi Arabia-based DataVolt was founded in 2023 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Vision Invest, a state-owned development and investment holding company focused on critical infrastructure.

The company currently has a data center under development in Oxagon, which is the industrial hub of Saudi Arabia’s troubled Neom City project. Other data centers are also being developed in the Saudi capital Riyadh, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, and other parts of Asia.
