A Kyivstar-owned engineering office was struck in Kyiv, Ukraine, as part of a Russian drone attack on the country's capital.
The drone attack on September 11 targeted gas stations across Kyiv, killing two and injuring nine, according to the country's President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The attack last week in Kyiv also struck a Kyivstar office in the capital, which the carrier stated "sustained damage as a result of a drone attack," though none of its employees were injured.
"The safety and well-being of Kyivstar’s people remain our highest priority. Kyivstar’s network continues to operate normally, and we remain fully committed to providing uninterrupted services to our customers," said the operator in a statement.
As previously reported by DCD back in 2023, the country's telecoms operators have faced ongoing challenges of rebuilding their respective mobile networks amid the country's ongoing war with Russia.
The war has already delayed the country's 5G launch, though carriers such as Kyivstar have since kicked off 5G pilots, with the telco expanding its pilot to Odessa last week.
