QuEra has partnered with HPE to integrate its neutral-atom quantum computer within HPE Cray-powered high-performance computing (HPC) environments.

In a statement, the quantum firm said the collaboration will provide HPC centers, national laboratories, and enterprises with a path to bring “QuEra's frontier systems into new supercomputing infrastructure.”

QuEra and HPE will also pursue integrated testbeds, hybrid algorithm co-design, software interoperability, and system-level performance benchmarking, as part of the agreement.

As a result of the partnership, QuEra noted that customers will now have two ways to access its quantum computers: through HPE-backed on-premises deployments, and via the cloud, in collaboration with Amazon’s Braket quantum cloud platform.

The partnership with Amazon was announced in June 2026, and will provide access to Libra, QuEra’s first fault-tolerant quantum computer capable of tackling scientifically relevant problems. Described as a “megaquop-scale” device, capable of executing one million quantum operations over hundreds of logical qubits, the 256-qubit system will be available to customers via Braket by 2028, with a gigaquop system to follow.

"Bringing neutral-atom, fault-tolerant systems into an HPC environment introduces a different engineering problem than delivering quantum computing over the cloud,” said Yuval Boger, chief commercial officer at QuEra Computing. “HPE's deep experience in supercomputing gives organizations the benefit of working with a partner who can solve that problem at the scale they need."

Dr. Masoud Mohseni, senior distinguished technologist and director of HPE Quantum, added: "Organizations running the world's most demanding workloads need quantum and classical computing to work together seamlessly. Our partnership with QuEra aims to bring fault-tolerant quantum capabilities into HPC environments, creating a clear path from today's supercomputers to tomorrow's hybrid quantum-classical systems."

Massachusetts-based QuEra was founded in 2018, based on research conducted at Harvard and MIT. The company operates a lab and data center near the Charles River in Boston and offers on-premise quantum systems as well as access to quantum hardware through its own cloud and Amazon Web Services.

In September 2025, QuEra announced an investment from NVentures, Nvidia’s venture capital arm, expanding on the $230 million Series B round raised by the company in February of that same year. The size of Nvidia’s investment wasn’t shared.
