Asia Pacific-focused data center operator Princeton Digital Group (PDG) has topped out the third building of its 200MW JH1 campus in Johor, Malaysia.
It has also broken ground on the construction of the campus’ fourth building.
The first phase of the campus, which supports 52MW of capacity, was completed last year in July.
The LinkedIn post announcing the latest construction milestone indicates that JH1 will offer 200MW of capacity, which is 50MW more than the amount cited during the company’s previous announcements.
Private equity firm Warburg Pincus is PDG’s largest shareholder. The company is also backed by the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and the UAE’s Mubadala.
PDG has sought financing to fund its aggressive expansion across the Asia Pacific region. The company raised $1.3 billion from alternative investment firm Stonepeak in July and secured a $1.2bn debt financing deal in May.
It currently has a footprint in Japan, India, Indonesia, China, Malaysia, South Korea, and the Singapore-Johor-Batam region, the latter of which is emerging as one of the world’s fastest-growing data center markets.
