US President Donald Trump said that Microsoft should fire its global affairs president.

Trump said on his social media platform Truth Social that Microsoft should "immediately terminate" former Biden Justice Department official Lisa Monaco.

The President previously blamed the former Deputy Attorney General for the federal investigations into his mishandling of classified documents as well as his alleged election interference. She also served as a security aide in the administration of President Barack Obama.

“Monaco has been shockingly hired as the president of Global Affairs for Microsoft, in a very senior role with access to Highly Sensitive Information. Monaco’s having that kind of access is unacceptable, and cannot be allowed to stand,” Trump said.

“She is a menace to US National Security, especially given the major contracts that Microsoft has with the United States Government.”

In February, Trump revoked Monaco's security clearances, and this Friday said that the government had banned her from all federal properties because of her "many wrongful acts."

Microsoft did not respond to requests for comment.

Trump's calls for Monaco's resignation, which came after his adviser Laura Loomer drew attention to the July hire, follow a string of attacks on his perceived enemies.

This week, former FBI director James Comey was indicted by the US Department of Justice on charges of false statements and obstruction of a congressional proceeding. Comey led the FBI during its investigation into ties between Trump’s 2016 campaign and the Russian government.

Trump said on Friday that he expects more indictments, stating: "I think there will be others."
