Nlyte is shipping a DCIM Suite for Service Providers with functionality specifically for their facilities.

On-boarding of clients, increased responsiveness to client needs and improved operational efficiency are promised. The industry specific release offers the predictive intelligence and management controls 'needed to increase competitiveness and profitability in a very crowded service provider market,' nlyte said.

Multi-tenant reporting on clients includes precise chargeback and remote rack visualisation. Improved tools and value-added services to accelerate on-boarding new customers.

The pricing and packaging of the package has been tailored to the service provider market

“As an MSP facility provider, it is imperative to be able to allocate power, cooling and space usage at a granular level and use that reporting to bill customers at competitive rates.  The nlyte DCIM Suite helps us on-board new customers faster, offer our clients visibility into their assets and gives them the necessary information to make important business decisions.  Remote visibility and automated reporting are two of the many reasons why nlyte Software is ahead of the other DCIM vendors,” commented Steven Hall, data centre director at BendBroadband Vault.

“There has been a need in the industry for a DCIM solution that offers targeted capability specifically for the service provider market.  DCIM functionality, like multi-tenant reporting and remote asset visibility of rack space and cabling, provides hosting service providers with a win-win.  They can streamline their data centre business processes and reduce operating costs while driving new client revenue across the line.  DCIM could be a competitive differentiator in the hosting market,” said David Cappuccio, chief of infrastructure research at Gartner Inc.
