Paris-based NextiraOne has finished its build of a virtual data center for Austrian-based games equipment and solutions company SPIELO International.

SPIELO is being a number of casino and video games as well as a number of video games platforms and cabinets for their use.

SPIELO wanted to virtualize its entire IT infrastructure to make the management of its servers, networking and storage much easier, with one centralized management platform.

NextiraOne worked with Cisco, NetApp and VMware on the project, installing the FlexPod solution, at SPIELO’s development center in Unterpremstatten.

The core of the new infrastructure is based on Cisco’s UCS Fabric Interconnect solution with 12 Cisco B200 blade servers and it makes use of the FlexPod data center solution.

The project also required NextiraOne to develop a company-wide platform for SPIELO’s storage to ensure easy retrieval of data for staff across all locations.

“[Another] major focus in the networking of each business site was the security of the IT infrastructure,” NextiraOne said.

“NextiraOne created a logical separation between internal and external serves, applications and authorizations in order to protect the company’s know-how.

“This is very important for SPIELO International, especially [because it is] in the highly sensitive area of game development.”
