An entrepreneur in New York state has bought back a data center he initially launched.

According to a LinkedIn post by Jim Salviski, founder of tech company Logical Solutions, the businessman sold the company to tech consulting firm Synoptek in 2014 along with a data center. He has now reacquired the facility, relaunching it as Rochester Colo LLC.

The data center is located in Pittsford, a suburb east of Rochester, a city in upstate New York. The company’s website states that the facility “hosts multiple telecommunications carriers,” and offers “multiple layers of redundancy.”

The specifications of the facility are unclear, with no information about capacity and size.

Salviski told Rochester Business Journal that “bringing the facility home [to Rochester] means faster decisions, deeper customer focus, and aggressive reinvestment. We built this data center to outclass big-city rivals—now we’re doubling down for the AI era.”

Salviski also operates JTS Management, a real estate management firm headquartered in Rochester.

Rochester is not a major data center hub, given that most of New York State’s data centers are located around New York City.
