My Keene Now notes that Verizon was initially expecting repairs to continue until the early hours of this morning (August 14). Verizon engineers determined that additional repairs were needed to fix the issue.
Verizon confirmed to DCD that the carrier is working on a major upgrade to a site in Keene, New Hampshire, which has impacted the service in the area.
The carrier said the upgrades will expand coverage and capacity for customers in the areas.
"The planned work unfortunately requires some downtime for the cell site and includes some steel work, which was delayed by severe weather yesterday. We are expediting the work today and intend to have the site back up for our customers tomorrow," said Verizon in an email to DCD.
