Data Center Infrastructure Management vendor Modius has launched version 3.7 of its OpenData software, a vendor neutral scalable that provides analytics across the data center.

OpeData v3.7 contains four new configuration options focussed on the high availability of the OpenData platform for database, application and other data collection architectures.

It contains a new reporting feature with charts and graphical analysis for viewing variations in the performance of data over customizable time periods and allows users to be authenticated against the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) server to ensure access and permissions are consistently applied.

It also offer SAP Crystal (Xcelsius) dashboard integration for reporting direct into OpenData and extended browser support, for Microsoft Internet Explorer v8 and v9 and Mozilla Firefox v 4, v5 and v6.

Modius said its OpenData platform allows a real-time view on power and environmental intelligence from a distributed network of facilities, from server closets to call centers, mechanical yards and data centers and can be installed locally or remotely on a database or server hosted in a cloud-based configuration.

Free trials of OpenData v3.7 are now being offered.
