Ricoh-owned mindShift has opened a new data center and network operations center in Commack New York. The new facility is needed to meet customer demands for secure private cloud services, disaster recovery, and IT support services.
Physically secure
The 10,000 sq ft (930 sq m) SSAE-16 compliant data center provides a physically secure infrastructure with N+1 power and backup, disaster recovery services, and multiple carrier service access via a mix of OC12, OC48, and GbE multiple route fiber to the facility. Network connectivity features Cisco multi-level architecture and mindShift-managed dedicated circuits. The 24/7/365 NOC is available onsite and offers a variety of support levels to customers.
mindShift says this is the first stage in a plan to build out across the US and Latin America with support from parent company Ricoh. The next step in the buildout involves a second 10,000 sq ft of data center space at the Commack location. More information about the company’s services and architecture can be found here.
