Microsoft is planning a new data center outside Atlanta, Georgia.

The cloud company has filed a Developments of Regional Impact application with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs for ATL50.

The project is set to be located at 5235 Stonewall Tell Road in Union City, southwest of Atlanta in Fulton County.

Microsoft aims to develop two three-story buildings totaling 910,000 sq ft (84,540 sqm) on an 88-acre parcel west of Stonewall Tell Road and north of Koweta Road. The site is set to launch in 2032.

Microsoft has a major presence across Georgia, including Fairburn, Douglasville, Palmetto, Rome, East Point, Tyrone, and more.

The company is also said to be developing in Union City on the north side of South Fulton Parkway at 4810 Stonewall Tell Road in partnership with EdgeConneX. The project is reportedly set to total 324MW across 2.1 million sq ft (195,096 sqm).
