Mercury has delivered a new data center in Paris, France, to Digital Realty.
The company, the general contractor for Digital on the project, announced this month it has handed over the 19.2MW PAR9 to the data center company.
The initial phase centered on the construction of the shell, façade, and roof of PAR9 as well as the installation and delivery of CSA works. The fit-out stage focused on the delivery of 12 data halls and encompassed the design, installation, and delivery of CSA works and MEP installations throughout the facility.
“We take immense pride in the handover of PAR9 to our valued client, Digital Realty,” said Tim Reid, business unit lead for Mercury’s data center building services division. “This accomplishment not only underscores our unwavering commitment to excellence in the data center industry but also played a pivotal role in securing additional contracts for the same campus. The synergy between the Mercury and Digital Realty project teams was truly invigorating throughout the completion of PAR9.”
The building – spanning 12 data halls – is the second at the Paris Digital Park campus in the La Courneuve area of the French capital. Originally announced in April 2020, work on the first building was completed in early 2022.
Two more buildings – PAR10, and PAR11 – are due to be built on the site. At full build-out, the campus will offer 39,000 square meters (419,790 sq ft) of white space and 76MW of IT power.
Digital has 13 Paris data centers in operation or development. The company is working on a new campus south of the French capital in the city of Les Ulis.
