Australian Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) provider Megaport has secured four AI infrastructure contracts with a combined value of AU$459.9 million (US$329.49m).

Megaport has further said it will raise AU$827.3 million (US$594m) to build an inference cloud.

The company is offering new shares at AU$14.30 each. Proceeds will be used to meet the customer contracts, and to establish a "pool" of GPUs.

As reported by Reuters, the contracts are all with US-based technology providers running AI applications, and will require a capital expenditure of AU$369.5 million (US$263.87m) for Nvidia GPUs, networking, and storage infrastructure.

The company is targeting a globally distributed AI inference cloud that will be anchored by an on-demand GPU pool, which Megaport will invest AU$350 million in establishing. Beyond that, the company says that its current network spanning 1,100 data centers in 31 countries will enable it to deliver AI compute closer to the customer.

Megaport is traditionally known for its NaaS offering, but has been expanding into the AI cloud world. In November 2025, it revealed it was planning to acquire cloud infrastructure provider Latitude.sh, and closed the deal shortly after the announcement.

Earlier this year, Latitude.sh revealed it had secured a customer for its compute and storage offering in a 36-month contract valued at $25.1m. That contract was for CPU capacity, and Latitude.sh will retain ownership of the servers, adding them to the company's "compute pool" and making them available for either renewal from the same customer or to others via an on-demand platform.
