The development will involve the demolition of the existing building and the construction of a three-to-five-story mixed-use building, comprising a loading dock and commercial floor space at ground level and a 38MW data center totaling 20,970 sqm (225,720 sq ft). The company aims to invest AU$2 billion (US$1.3bn) in the project.

Timelines for development were not shared.

Totaling 7,435 sqm (80,030 sq ft), the site currently contains a two-story building with car parking, is occupied by Mercedes Benz and is used as an autobody paint and repair center. Markham’s website suggests it acquired the site in early 2019.

Founded in 1995, Markham is a Sydney-based real estate investor and manager of commercial property.
