It will enable the company to expand its offerings to include sustainable and innovative cooling solutions and services for the data center market across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

The data center business will be headed up by Matt Evans, formerly the global director of data center operations at FlӓktGroup.

Evans said: “Our experience has led us to a position where we understand that data center solutions, especially for cooling processes, are bespoke from project-to-project.

“Backed by renewed investment and focus, the business will lead with an engineering consultancy approach to the design of data center heat-rejection solutions. We aim to treat every project on individual merit, working closely with customers to create the optimal solution based on our full end-to-end product suite.”

The company currently has manufacturing facilities in Lyon and Dijon in France, and Burgos in Spain. It said some of its data center products will be adapted from its existing portfolio, whilst others will be designed from the ground up.

Lennox is now expected to offer close control units, computer room air handler units, fan wall units, cooling distribution units, chillers, and dry coolers.

The company, which is based in France, has been providing commercial and residential cooling solutions for more than sixty years. It was originally founded in 1895 as a furnace business.
