Kohler Energy has announced it will be rebranding to Rehlko.
Rehlko will continue to operate as an independent entity.
Earlier this year, Kohler sold a majority stake in its energy unit to Platinum Equity, establishing Kohler Energy as a standalone business.
Platinum Equity is the majority owner of Rehlko, with Kohler Company remaining as an investing partner.
“We are embracing our future as an independent company with the new Rehlko brand and celebrating our legacy and our commitment for tackling the most complex energy challenges, and the values that guide everything we do and stand for,” said Brian Melka, CEO of Rehlko.
“Our company’s new name is derived from the six letters of Kohler and reflects the reliability, resolve, reinvention, and resilience that have been – and will remain – the hallmarks of this organization in addressing the ever-evolving distributed energy needs of the marketplace.”
Kohler Company first announced plans to carve out its energy business in November 2023. Businesses within the separated portfolio include Power Systems, Engines, Home Energy, Kohler Uninterruptible Power, Clarke Energy, Curtis Instruments, and Heila Technologies.
Headquartered in Wisconsin, US, the company has operations in more than 100 locations. The firm specializes in the delivery of energy solutions, industrial energy systems, and powertrain technologies.
