TIM Brasil has signed a new deal with cell tower firm IHS in Brazil.
IHS Brazil, part of the IHS Holding, this week announced it has signed a new site agreement with TIM Brasil, extending the two companies’ partnership in the Brazilian market.
The new agreement aims to build up to 3,000 sites with an initial minimum deployment of 500 sites. They will be distributed across multiple regions of Brazil.
IHS Brazil has been collaborating with TIM Brazil since 2020.
TIM, which is estimated to have more than 60 million subscribers in Brazil, launched its 5G network in July 2022. Its 5G network covers more than 350 cities with more than seven million customers.
Founded in 2021, IHS owns more than 39,000 towers across its eight markets, including Brazil, Cameroon, Colombia, Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, and Zambia.
