High-performance Edge computing company Odinn has showcased a portable data center at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

Described by the company as “concentrated compute in a carry-on,” it claims that the system, dubbed Omnia, is the “fastest portable data center on Earth.”

Weighing 35kg (77lbs), Omnia consists of up to two AMD Epyc 9965 CPUs and four Nvidia H200 GPUs (or two, if deployed with redundant power supply), in addition to one petabyte of storage, “built-in cooling,” and a 23.8" 4k display.

“As the laptop freed the desktop, Omnia frees the data center,” its online product page states, highlighting four potential use cases for the system – AI operators who demand “power, isolation, and total autonomy,” cinematographers and VFX artists working on location; analysts and investigators “scanning terabytes in real-time;” and those who just want to have a portable data center.

No information about Omnia’s pricing is available on the website, but interested parties can request a demo or make an appointment with the company to see it in person at CES.

For those in need of a bigger system, in December the company launched Infinity Cube, a 14ft (4.3m) by 14ft modular structure encased in glass that the Odinn says comes equipped with 56 AMD Epyc 9845 CPUs, 224 Nvidia B200 GPUs, and 27.5 petabytes of storage, alongside the company’s “proprietary closed-loop liquid cooling, to be hot swappable.”
