Power and cooling solution manufacturer Gates has expanded its cooling offerings with a new hose for liquid cooling.
The company this week announced the Data Master Data Center cooling hose, a fluid conveyance solution.
The company said the hose meets key industry requirements, including the UL94V-0 and VW-1 flame resistance standards.
The hose has been engineered for flexibility and compactness, and features compounded materials to ensure cleanliness throughout the system.
“As demand for high-performance data centers grows, so too does the need for reliable, liquid cooling solutions that ensure optimal performance of IT infrastructure,” said Michael Haen, VP of product line management and global marketing.
“As a proud member of the Open Compute Project, we will stay close to the constantly evolving requirements in data center applications, and will continue to focus our investments in innovative technologies to meet the evolving needs of data centers worldwide.”
It marks a further expansion into the data center liquid cooling industry.
The company first moved into the data center market earlier this year in partnership with CoolIT Systems.
Founded in 1911 as a tire and rubber firm, Colorado-based Gates now develops liquid cooling solutions, using its expertise in materials science, fluid conveyances, and thermal management to provide solutions to the data center cooling industry.
CoolIT designs, engineers, and manufactures advanced liquid cooling solutions for the data center and desktop markets, including its split-flow direct liquid cooling technology. The company was acquired by KKR and Mubadala last year.
