Data center consulting, development and management firm Fortress has named Anthony Angelini as the new CEO. Angelini, who for the past several months has been working as a consultant for the firm, replaces Thomas Rosato who will continue serving as non-executive chairman of the board of directors, Fortress said earlier this week.
Commenting on the appointment, Rosato said Angelini had made a number of meaningful contributions during his time as consultant for Fortress.
“Anthony joins the company with over two decades of management and operational experience, and I look forward to working with him in my new role as chairman to help advance Fortress to the next level of growth and success,” Rosato said.
Angelini said he was grateful for the opportunity to lead the company. “Fortress' suite of services is among the best in the industry, and the Company has a stellar reputation among data center owners and operators.”
Between 2007 and now, Angelini has ran his own consulting company, helping organizations in the areas of operations and growth-strategy development. Before starting the consultancy, he worked eight years for Zomax, a provider of supply-chain solutions to technology companies that was acquired by a private-equity firm in 2006.
Angelini served as Zomax’s CEO from 2004 through 2006.
In addition to appointing a new CEO, Fortress announced appointment of Peter Woodward to the role of director.
Fortress has a multifaceted portfolio of mission-critical services, including consulting and engineering, construction management and site services.
