F5 Networks has released new offerings that enhance the benefits of its F5 Synthesis architecture model.
The technology vendor states its BIG-IP v11.5 software has enhance application delivery services and security and its virtual solutions will support hybrid and virtual appliance deployments across the “broadest” set of hypervisors.
The company went on to address other benefits including network virtualization capabilities for support of SDN technologies in the Application Deliver Controller (ADC) market which it said include full traffic management and gateway support for Microsoft Windows Server Hyper-V Network virtualization (HNV).
It said it would update licensing and pricing options and will include and expanded presence in the AWS marketplace for “enhanced deployment flexibility.”
F5 Synthesis was launched in late 2013 and claims to have a strong emphasis on security, focussing on distributed denial-of-service (DDoS).
The vendor said customers can expect to see an improvement through application fluency, optimized application delivery, hypervisor support, SSD-enabled appliances and blades and simplified DNS deployment capabilities.
F5’s EVP of strategic solutions Manny Rivelo said the company is making it “easier” for organizations to deliver “seamless” application services.
“Because F5’s integrated security, acceleration, and availability capabilities can be implemented across a flexible services fabric, customers can orchestrate and tailor their systems to efficiently support all types of IT deployments,” Rivelo said.
Earlier this month the company announced a new F5reference architecture for VMware Horizon View.
