Data centers can now get 3MW of emergency power from a single unit during an outage, with Emerson Network Power (ENP) launching its new Trinergy Cube model of uninterruptible power supply (UPS).

The Trinergy Cube, now available in Europe, Middle East and Africa, has high power density cores, optimized efficiency at partial load conditions and hot scalability, Emerson said.

It can reach up to 3MW in a single static UPS, a capacity that was previously only achieved by rotary UPS solutions.

Used in parallel with other devices, the Trinergy Cube can be aggregated up to 20MW.

The vendor claims that the unit’s easy configuration allows it to be arranged into an L-shape or back-to-back layout.

The Cube’s design features give it an operational efficiency of 98.5% and up to 99.5% maximum efficiency, claims the vendor.

It also comes with ENP’s LIFE remote diagnostic and preventive monitoring service.

The high capacity and small footprint will save on office space, as well as electricity bills, according to Emerson Network Power product marketing director for power systems at ENP in Europe, Middle East and Africa Giovanni Zanei.

“Our R&D team worked closely with customers to understand today’s pain points and those they foresee for the future,” Zanei said.

“More services and functions demand reliable and secure infrastructure. The Trinergy Cube solution has been developed specifically to provide data center managers with peace of mind.”
