Manufacturer of industrial equipment Eaton Corp. announced on Wednesday that it has closed the acquisition of Wright Line, a maker of data center enclosures, rack systems and air-flow management systems. Eaton initially announced an agreement to acquire Wright Line for an undisclosed sum in early August.
In the initial announcement, Jerry Whitaker, Eaton’s president of the Americas region for its electrical business, said Wright Line’s products would be combined with some of Eaton’s existing products for data centers to offer a single solution.
Wright Line’s sales for the 12 months ended on 30 June were about $101m. Eaton made about $11.9bn in sales in 2009.
