Mike Moore from Nokia talks about the coming revolution in telecoms equipment
In this interview Mike Moore, portfolio sales lead for AirFrame and Telco Cloud at Nokia, explains the aims of the Telco Project, a recently established subset of the Open Compute Project.
According to Moore, Nokia has been designing x86 equipment for more than 30 years. The company decided to share its expertise with the OCP just as the telecommunications providers began realizing the potential of data center hardware.
Moore talks DatacenterDynamics through some of the technologies that Nokia plans to contribute to the project during the next 12 months. He also outlines what kind of OCP-compliant products we can expect from Nokia in the future.
The conversation took place at the DCD Colo + Cloud conference in Dallas.
