Two office and data center sites in Michigan and Colorado are up for sale.
In Michigan, a data center previously used by a local MSP is up for sale. In Colorado, a site previously used by shipping firm Schenker is available.
MSP data center in Michigan for sale
In Michigan, Signature Associates is listing 1112 Union Street in Monroe as for sale. The listing price is $399,000.
Built in 1969 and renovated in 2003, the 1-acre site features a 5,420 sq ft single-story building and a 110ft Radio tower. The site includes a ‘completely redundant’ cooling system dedicated to the data center, keypad access controls, and a backup generator.
The facility is described as an office and ‘former data center’ for local MSP Computer Works of Monroe, Inc., and a Lay-Z-Boy gallery store nationwide point of sale system.
Energy to the site is provided by DTE Energy; the property includes fiber links from ATT and Charter.
The seat of Monroe County, the city of Monroe is located south of Detroit and north of Toledo.
Schenker data center for sale in Denver
In the Lakewood area of Denver, Colorado, Colliers (via LoopNet) is offering 928 Quail Street as up for sale. The listing price is $3.14 million.
The 1.75-acre site in Jefferson County is home to a 14,960 sq ft (1,390 sqm), single-story facility built in 1974 and renovated in 2014.
It is mostly office space, but includes a raised floor data center with 600KVA generator. The site includes Comcast & CenturyLink fiber connections.
The listing suggests the white space “can stay or go” and the whole site can be easily converted back to warehouse space if desired.
Online business listings show the property was previously occupied by shipping firm BAX Global and then later Schenker after the former was acquired.
Images in the listing describe the site as Schenker’s Denver Data Center. In 2015 building design firm Ware Malcomb renovated the site in order to “transform the space to enhance the employee experience and improve recruitment and retention.”
