German data center power supply company Bender has told customers that it is recovering from a ransomware attack.
The company said that it was hit by a targeted encryption attack on the night of November 1, 2024.
"We have discovered that unauthorized access has been gained to some of our operating systems," Bender said in its letter to customers, seen by DCD.
"This includes a portion of our internal network storage. This data primarily consists of low-risk project and order processing information. In addition, our Sage business management platform has also been accessed, which includes account, financial, and banking data."
However, the company said that it believed "that no data has been leaked."
Bender said that it will continue to work closely with cybersecurity experts. In a separate letter to customers on November 23, the company said that most of its "systems are already back online and production is also up and running again. Should there be any delays in delivery, our sales department will contact you directly."
The company develops power solutions, including low-voltage main distribution boards, busbar systems, generator equipment, and UPS systems.
