Data center services provider CyrusOne has expanded its Cincinnati data center with the addition of 20,000 sq ft and 2.25MW of power capacity.

The US colocation provider has 212,000 sq ft of technical space, and the added capability of providing up to 13MW of power at the 400,000 sq ft site.

CyrusOne CTO Kevin Timmons said the modifications to the data center would allow customers to choose the level of redundancy that best suits their need and budget, with multiple redundancy levels available in the same data hall.

“Our decision to add 20,000 sq ft was driven by customer demand for colocation space in an advanced facility capable of delivering superior resiliency and redundancy,” Timmons said.

The redundant infrastructure at Cincinnati features multiple fiber feeds and six independent power feeds.

CyrusOne recently passed its 1m sq ft landmark for data center footprint, with having constructed a 60,000 sq ft data hall at its data center in Carrollton, Texas.
