Details, including the number of shares and proposed pricing, haven’t been disclosed.

Csquare said it expects to use part of the proceeds to pay down its debt and the remainder for general corporate purposes.

Centersquare was formed in April 2024, when Brookfield merged Cyxtera and Evoque under a new brand.

Brookfield formed Evoque in 2019 after acquiring AT&T’s data center and colocation assets. Cyxtera was acquired in 2023 after the colocation firm had entered bankruptcy proceedings.

Cyxtera had been formed out of CenturyLink’s colocation business and went public via a SPAC in 2021. The company combined with the Nasdaq-listed Starboard Value Acquisition Corp. (SVAC) in a $3.1 billion deal. The data center firm declared bankruptcy in 2023.

The company’s portfolio totals more than 80 facilities, offering 400MW of capacity and 3.5 million sq ft (325,161 sqm).
