CRG West has announced the expansion of colocation space at the Miami Exchange, a 48,000-square-foot carrier-neutral data center located at 2115 NW 22nd Street. The Miami Exchange is designed to power and cool dense server deployments and to provide a highly secure environment for its tenants. The former WilTel facility was built in 2002 with a dual power grid system and 15-1/2-foot ceilings and opened as the Miami Exchange with CRG West as owners and operators earlier this year.
The additional 16,000 square feet of space and power will allow new customers the opportunity to quickly deploy network and storage equipment in a facility that can accommodate uninterruptible power draws of up to 135 Watts per square-foot. To accompany the expansion of data center space, CRG West has also installed additional diesel-generator capacity and access to CRG West's highly sought after peering exchange, the Any2 Exchange.
"CRG West's expansion in Miami reflects the growing domestic and international demand for highly secure, conditioned data center space in major metropolitan markets. Our ability to offer quality colocation space now and in the future provides our customers with the comfort that they can expand their footprints within the same facility as their business grows," said David Dunn, Senior Vice President of CRG West.
