Core AI Holdings, a newly established AI company with no experience in the data center industry, claims that it will establish $5 billion worth of data centers in emerging markets.

Considering the company's size, inexperience, and financial situation, its commitment to develop $5bn of data centers is ambitious.

As of writing, Core AI Holdings' market capitalization is listed at $45 million, and its stock price has tumbled almost 50 percent since last month.

The company was formed in October as a merger between game developer Core Gaming and communications company Siyata Mobile. The latter formerly specialized in making push-to-talk devices for enterprise customers and has been struggling financially since 2021, with the value of its stock all but wiped out by the time of the merger.

Core AI Holdings has stated that it will focus on developing data centers in Malaysia and Uzbekistan.

Malaysia is an established growth market for data centers, with much of the country’s data center development pipeline located in the southern peninsular state of Johor.

But Uzbekistan is an unusual choice. Although the country has inked deals with data center developers from China and Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan’s existing data center footprint is small, with Data Center Map listing only six data centers clustered around the capital city of Tashkent.

The company said that further details about development timelines and investment would be disclosed in the first quarter of 2026 or sooner.

No information about data center capacity was disclosed.

CEO Aitan Zacharin said that the company’s vision “is to create a state-of-the-art, globally distributed AI infrastructure ecosystem in collaboration with both public and private partners.”

Core AI Holdings has also launched an AI-powered digital marketing business under the name Core Digital.

Zacharin remains the CEO of Core Gaming, which still has its own website. The company claims that it has developed and co-developed over 2,200 games with over 800 million downloads, with a global footprint of over 40 million users.

It is also unclear whether Core AI Holdings will use its own data centers given its self-identification as a “global AI-driven mobile games developer and publisher.”
