The two companies are also planning to develop a data center in Denmark to enable this, details around which have not been shared.

According to Infosys, the facility is intended to "serve as the cornerstone for advancing technology" and delivering services to Stark Group's outposts across Europe.

Stark will use Infosys Topaz which offers services and platforms that use generative artificial intelligence, and the IT provider's Live Enterprise Application Management Platform (LEAP) to help automate Stark's IT operations.

Stark Group Group CIO Pernille Geneser said: “We at Stark Group are excited to announce our collaboration with Infosys as we embark on a transformation journey to deliver state-of-the-art and future-fit IT services to our colleagues in the Nordics, Austria, Germany, and UK.”

Infosys EVP & global head of retail, consumer goods & logistics Karmesh Vaswani said: “Leveraging our cutting-edge technologies, including Infosys Topaz and our cloud-enabled platform LEAP, we are confident that this collaboration will bring unparalleled value and innovation to Stark Group.

“Together, we look forward to shaping a future of success, growth, and shared achievements in the digital landscape. This collaboration further strengthens Infosys’ prominence in the Nordics region.”

Infosys does not share much information about its data center footprint. In 2021, the company publicly moved the IT infrastructure of its customer - Daimler - to the Lefdal Mine colocation data center in Norway.

According to Data Center Map Denmark is home to 32 data centers, most of which are in Copenhagen. Operators include Digital Realty, GlobalConnect, UNI-C, Telia, Colt Technology Services, Stack Infrastructure, and Penta Infra, among others.

DCD has contacted Infosys and Stark for more information about the planned data center.
