Indian IT service provider Infosys has been selected by Danish building materials retailer and distributor Stark Group for its digital transformation.

The two companies are also planning to develop a data center in Denmark to enable this, details around which have not been shared.

According to Infosys, the facility is intended to "serve as the cornerstone for advancing technology" and delivering services to Stark Group's outposts across Europe.

Stark will use Infosys Topaz which offers services and platforms that use generative artificial intelligence, and the IT provider's Live Enterprise Application Management Platform (LEAP) to help automate Stark's IT operations.

Infosys does not share much information about its data center footprint. In 2021, the company publicly moved the IT infrastructure of its customer - Daimler - to the Lefdal Mine colocation data center in Norway.

According to Data Center Map Denmark is home to 32 data centers, most of which are in Copenhagen. Operators include Digital Realty, GlobalConnect, UNI-C, Telia, Colt Technology Services, Stack Infrastructure, and Penta Infra, among others.
