OData, the Brazilian data center firm, has deployed cooling systems designed by its parent company Aligned.

The companies recently announced that OData has integrated Aligned’s proprietary, patent-pending air cooling technology, Delta Cube (Delta³), across its data centers in Latin America.

Rather than pushing cold air into the data hall, Aligned’s Delta³ waterless air cooling system captures and removes heat by drawing hot air from the rack's exhaust. The cooling array provides 350kW of heat rejection in four feet, supporting up to 50kW rack densities.

The Brazilian units are in production by Munters at its Brazilian facility located in Araucária, Paraná.

“We are thrilled to introduce this cutting-edge technology to our Latin American data centers, driving the growth of the Brazilian industry and fulfilling our commitment to building a robust digital infrastructure in the region.,” says Ricardo Alário, CEO of OData. “The adoption of Delta³ exemplifies our ongoing commitment to technical excellence, environmental sustainability, and ongoing innovation to meet the evolving requirements of our customers.”

OData is a subsidiary of Aligned Data Centers, which acquired the firm in May 2023. The company has operational facilities across the Latin American market, including Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico – with more in development.

US data center firm Netrality is also a user of Aligned’s Delta³ system at its 1301 Fannin Street facility in Houston, Texas.

Aligned launched a liquid cooling system in January called DeltaFlow~ that can be integrated with Delta³.
