Bitdeer AI, a subsidiary of Bitdeer Technologies Group, has deployed Nvidia GB300 NVL72-based capacity in a data center in Malaysia.

The A102 data center will offer 9.5MW once operational, according to the company, and 50 percent of its capacity has been contracted under a five-year long-term offtake commitment with a total value of $400 million.

The location of the data center has not been provided.

The contract will see revenue and cost impacts from the first quarter of 2027.

According to the company, the A102 data center is a "multi-customer facility," purpose-built for rack-scale liquid-cooled AI deployments.

The company is in ongoing negotiations for the remaining capacity at the site.

Bitdeer AI is a new entrant in the AI cloud market and is targeting 350MW of AI cloud capacity by the first quarter of 2028.

“Facility A102 is one of the first of several AI cloud sites we expect to contract and bring online, and the terms we secured here are a good indication of the discipline we apply to deploying capital,” said Michael G. Potter, CFO. “Roughly half of A102 is contracted ahead of energization, on a long term offtake commitment basis, with a customer of high credit quality. Our active pipeline for AI cloud capacity now exceeds $2 billion, or approximately 24.5MW. Together with our recently announced lease at our Tydal, Norway site, this reflects our ability to bring AI capacity online and contract it ahead of energization.”

The deployment follows Bitdeer AI's Nvidia GB200 NVL72 system, which was launched in Malaysia in January of this year. Whether this was located at the same data center has not been stated.

Bitdeer AI's parent company Bitdeer Technologies Group is a cryptocurrency firm with 175,000 Bitcoin mining machines under management.

The group currently has six sites in operation, including 13MW in Washington State, 37MW in Tennessee, 570MW in Ohio, and 175MW in Tydal, Norway. In February 2025, Bitdeer acquired a 101MW gas-fired power project in Canada in a $21.7 million deal for which it aimed to develop a 99MW Bitcoin mining site. In April, the firm acquired 40MW of liquid-cooled Bitcoin mining containers from Saiheat.

Bitdeer has previously said the Washington and Tennessee sites, originally operated as cryptomining facilities, are in the process of being converted into AI data centers. Work to convert the Norwegian site into an AI cloud facility began in April. The company also lists plans for HPC sites in Molde, Norway, due to go live by the end of 2028.
