Crusoe is set to enter the Israeli data center market, signing an agreement with Anan Data Center.

As reported by Forbes, under the agreement, Anan will provide Crusoe with 40MW of AI data center capacity with the potential for further expansion.

Forbes estimates that the long-term contract has a value somewhere in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

“We view Anan as a central and highly strategic partner for our operations in Israel,” Crusoe said in a statement shared with the publication. “As part of our regional expansion, we are working to deepen our local presence through specialized teams, guided by a long-term perspective that positions Israel as a key hub in the global AI landscape. In this context, Anan serves as our leading local partner.”

“We welcome the agreement with Crusoe and view them as a long-term strategic partner moving forward,” Anan added. “This collaboration represents an initial step in a broader initiative to establish a global AI infrastructure platform from Israel to the world.”

The contract pertains to Anan's Afula data center, which is currently under construction. The data center is expected to offer 100MW of capacity and will be located around one hour from Tel Aviv.

The Afula facility will have one underground floor and three above-ground stories, spanning a total of 30,000 sqm (322,920 sq ft).

Anan is also developing a second data center called "Tzora," located between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. That data center will offer ~32MW across 24,000 sqm (258,335 sq ft).

Anan was founded in 2022 by CEO Maor Maloul, singer Omer Adam, and investor Nissim Shriel-Gaon, owner of Lian Group. Shriel-Gaon owns around half the company, while Adam and Maloul each hold an 18 percent stake. In November 2025, Battery Global Advisors, a US investment fund, bought a 20 percent stake in the data center company.

The Israeli data center company aims to build out a portfolio of 500MW of data center capacity in the country through additional, though undisclosed, sites.

Crusoe both develops data centers to lease and offers its own cloud services, including from leased sites.

The company currently operates four cloud regions across the US and Europe: us-northcentral1-a, us-east1-a, us-southcentral1-a, and eu-iceland1-a. The company has partnered with Digital Realty and Equinix in the US and atNorth in Iceland. It has also announced plans to lease a data center from Polar in Norway.

Crusoe also self-builds data centers. According to its website, it has a data center pipeline of 3.4GW, 9.8 million sq ft (910,450 sqm) of floorspace, and nearly 1 million GPUs. Those projects include its gigawatt-scale campus in Abilene, Texas, which is serving OpenAI and will soon serve Microsoft.

Crusoe is also developing modular Edge data centers - "Crusoe Spark" units - at a factory in Brighton, Colorado.
