The Altice LdV center is a 3,000-sqm (32,290 sq ft) building, on an 11,000 sqm campus in Linda-a-Velha, just outside Lisbon. It will be co-financed by the European Union, and run by the telco's international telecoms unit, Altice Wholesale Solutions.

Altice says the center will host international telecoms networks, and provide an open and neutral alternative to interconnect national and international networks in Portugal working with submarine cable mooring stations, teleports, long-haul terrestrial networks, and other data centers.

The company chose Linda-a-Velha because it is within Lisbon and close to other infrastructure, including cable stations and the Alfouvar satellite center. Altice is reusing an existing building which was previously one of Marconi's first telecoms centers.
