According to a company blog post announcing the fundraising, this brings Verda's total funding to more than $450 million. Previously, Verda secured $117m in an April 2026 round.

The newly injected capital will support more data center capacity coming online as well as "deeper investment in the platform." The company is targeting having more than 250MW of operational capacity by 2027.

Formerly known as DataCrunch, Verda was founded in 2020, and currently has data centers in Finland, all of which run on 100 percent renewable energy. It also operates one in Reykjanesbær in Iceland, and has further sites planned to come online across Europe, the UK, the US, and Asia. In September detailed plans for a data center project in the Hanhela area of Pyhäjoki municipality in Finland.

The company secured $64.6 million in a Series A funding round in September 2025, at the time noting it was planning an AI data center in Latvia. Prior to that, in an October 2024 seed funding round, the company raised $13m.

"There's a window right now to build one of the defining compute companies of this generation, and to do so from Europe. It won't be open for long," said Ruben Bryon, founder and CEO of Verda.

In addition to increasing its data center footprint, Verda is also planning to deploy the Nvidia Vera Rubin NVL72 systems in the coming months. In terms of its platform, Verda is also "on the path to release S3-compatible Object Storage."

In April 2026, Verda said it would offer customers access to Arm's AGI CPU that was developed in conjunction with Meta. The AGI CPU would work alongside Nvidia GB300 racks. Built on TSMC’s 3nm process node, the AGI CPU comprises 136 Arm Neoverse V3 cores running up to 3.7GHz.
