US-based AI chip startup Blaize and Chinese hardware developer NeoTensr have signed a contract worth up to $50 million for the development of Edge infrastructure to be deployed in APAC.

The contract will see NeoTensr – which specializes in Edge data centers – integrate Blaize’s hardware offering into its facilities, as well as AI solutions, software, and services.

The pair intend for their product to be used in Edge environments, specifying smart cities, industrial automation, logistics, retail intelligence, and security applications as target uses.

Blaize’s Graph Streaming Processor is designed to process data in a graph format. This format, which maps relationships between data entities, is typically used by large financial institutions, governments, and logistics providers.

Co-founder of Blaize Ke Yin added that the chip would be able to process “200+ camera streams per server.”

Details about the specific markets or countries being targeted by the pair were not provided.

Blaize, which went public via a SPAC deal in January 2025, was founded and is led by Dinakar Munagala, who was previously part of Intel’s Graphics division.

NeoTensr is based in Chongqing, southwestern China. The company specializes in AI and Edge hardware.
