ADC KRONE has announced that it has launched a new independently verified component-compliant overmoulded Category 5e UTP patch cord throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The new cord features a 20-year Zero-Bit-Error warranty.
Designated "overmoulded because its strain-relief boot is actually moulded onto the plug rather than part of a separate cover, the new TrueNet(R) Category 5e UTP patch cord is designed to be mechanically superior at protecting the cable and the integrity of connections.
All ADC KRONE patch cords, including the new UTP solution, are 100% factory tested and their components are independently verified as being 100% compliant with the appropriate "category standards by external third-party test houses. The previous range TrueNet Category 5e overmoulded and non-overmoulded patch cords are being replaced with the new solution across the EMEA region.
ADC KRONE has studied the effects of moves, adds and changes (MACs) in the field and believes that overmoulded patch cords are designed to best withstand the rigours of today's networks and long-term standards compliance. When installed by a certified TrueNet partner or accredited integrator, ADC KRONE's new patch cords offer a 20-year Zero-Bit-Error performance warranty.
The overmoulded TrueNet(R) Category 5e UTP patch cord also features a slim-line design and profile, making the new patch cord ideal for maximising density at the patch panel, switch or server, and in space-restricted locations such as underfloor raceway boxes and multi-user telecoms outlets (MUTO).
Available in both low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) and conventional PVC, the new TrueNet overmoulded Category 5e cords are available in a wide range of colours and standard lengths. Wiring configurations for T568B, T568A and crossover are all available.
