A data center campus is being proposed in North London, UK.
EssexLive reports that DC01UK is preparing to submit an outline planning application to Hertsmere Borough Council.
The company is aiming to develop 85 acres of land to the East of South Mimms Services, north of Barnet and east of Watford.
A site plan on the company's website suggests up to three buildings are planned, with the campus potentially totaling 320MW at full build-out.
Construction could start in 2027 and see the site go live in 2029.
DC01UK said the campus would feature on-site renewable energy generation and explore potential uses for waste heat.
The site is designated as Green Belt land, but DC01UK said it will be able to develop the land 'sensitively'. The UK's new Labour government has said it will explore the potential to make it easier to develop projects on the Green Belt.
DC01UK's website doesn't provide much information about the company.
However, there is a DC01UK listed on Companies House; several of the directors are also involved with UK renewable energy firm Chiltern Green Energy, which is developing a solar farm near Hockliffe, Bedfordshire.
