A new 15MW data center is set to be built in Miami, Florida.

First reported by Miami Today, Miami-Dade County is set to consider a tax incentive deal for a data center development known as Project Apollo. The council is set to discuss the matter at its December 3 meeting.

Project Apollo would see the develop a 15MW, two-story, 75,000-square-foot (6,925 sqm) data center in unincorporated Miami-Dade County, within Commission District 12. Further details about the location were not shared.

Construction on the $150 million project would begin in 2026 or 2027.

The project has been recommended for approval by county staff.

The county report notes that Los Angeles, California, Philadelphia and Pennsylvania, were considered as alternative locations for the development.

Details on the company behind the project are sparse, but documents say the team involved has previously worked with companies including Amazon, Meta, and Iron Mountain.
